Auto transporting is much easier than taking a road trip. Driving long distances is vastly expensive. You have to pay for lodging, food, gas and possible maintenance and repair before taking your car on the road – you don’t want to have an issue while stranded on some desert interstate. In effect, the road trip, a purely American rite of passage, is a vacation, and you have to treat it as such, or you may wind up regretting it.
Driving late into the night, working on little sleep, frantically trying to cross states in record time, dealing with sour cops – all of this can result from not being prepared for a cross country trip. The United States is vastly expansive. You see a mountain range from hundreds of miles away, and think, okay, we must be reaching the end of our journey, only to cross it and realize you have another two states to traverse before you arrive at your new home. It’s fun, if you’re ready. All I’m advising is that you be prepared.
The alternative, car transport services, is much more preferable. You pay a flat fee, and worry about your move alone, without stressing about your car. Auto transporting is a great way to move. Worry about the cross country trip when you don’t have stuff to schlep, and when you have the time to enjoy it.
